About Me

Jeremy Cox
a.k.a. supertechguy
I.T. Professional

Back in 2003, I decided to jump on board and purchase my own domain.  I decided that I needed to find a name that was unique.  So I spent hours running multiple names through various search engines.  Finally I settled on the name "supertechguy", which amazingly enough produced zero results when plugged into the most popular search engines during that time.  Its not easy to produce zero results!  I purchased the domain on August 28, 2003.  Since that time I have been using the name "supertechguy".  Unfortunately there have been many "copycats" who have also referred to themselves as "supertechguy".  To them I say, get your own unique name! :)

I believe in the Open Source movement, and I have contributed to it by releasing several Open Source projects.  The most notable of which is a Network Intrusion Detection System called NetDash (http://netdash.sf.net).

I am a Security Nut.

I love music.

I love the outdoors.

I love hanging out with my family.

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (http://www.lds.org)

And, well... thats me.
